This is a collection of
images that I captured from Google Earth (which I highly
recommend, if you don't have it already). This first image
is of the whole Municipality of Daegu. The Municipality,
in its entirety, is merely 13 miles wide and 13 miles high.
The city, itself, doesn't even take up the entire area of the
municipality. The actual city is only about 10 miles by 7
miles. To give you an idea, Federal Way is 9 miles wide
from Dash Point to the Supermall and 6 miles wide from Redondo
to the Pierce County Line. There are merely 85,000 people
in the FW compared to Daegu's 2.55 million inhabitants.
How's that for urban density! The snowy peak in the north
is Palgong Mountain. The Sincheon River runs through the
middle of the city, from south to north. The Geumhogang is
more or less the northern boundary of urban Daegu. Like
always, you can click the image to enlarge it. |
