What is
'synergy?' What does the word mean? What does it
mean for me? For you? Synergy is a great concept
that I studied back at the College of Business and Economics
at Western Washington University. 'Synergy' is
achieved when the sum of parts is greater than it's whole.
I know what you're
thinking. I have two pennies. I add them both
together and I have two cents. Two cents is not
greater in any way than two pennies. However, this is
a very tangible way to think of the concept. When you
venture into intangible structures, organizational processes
and work ethics, the idea of synergy becomes more
clear.
When two people or two
organizations get together to collaborate on a topic, the
outcome, in general, is more impressive than if each party
were to embark on the same effort individually. There
are many reasons for this including channeling creative
ideas, building on these ideas, a collection of different
thought processes and analytical methods. Whatever the
reason is, the outcome is terrific.
What does that mean
for me? You? Synergy means we do it better
together. Tell me, what services do you need for your
property? Together, we can tailor the perfect property
services contract to keep you and your operations running
smoothly. |
